To tweet or not to tweet, that is the question at hand. And if you are a Twitter user in Palm Beach County, who are the best Twitter accounts to follow? Of course there are several factors that define “best,” from relevance to sheer number of followers or overall influence. We utilize Twitter religiously and are thankful for our over 700 followers. We believe in quality over quantity and that is what the remainder of this post will focus on, quality Twitter accounts in Palm Beach County. Of course we believe that we are the top Palm Beach County Twitter account, but I’m sure that is a biased oppinion. Follow us@eclassifiedads.
The biggest name on our list is probably the Palm Beach Post (@pbpost). The Palm Beach Post utilizes there Twitter account to break hot stories, share information about weather or other hot things to do in our area. Another must follow; especially if you are an early riser is Suzanne Boyd (@SuzanneBoyd) the CBS12 news anchor. Suzanne makes us wake up in the morning, not Folgers! We love her natural attitude to her Twitter account, sharing information and answering off the cuff questions without hesitation. Also, she gives a great “back of the house” view of the happenings at the new station. You can’t close out a Twitter new push without the weather, right? Who is the man when it comes to Palm Beach County Weather, its Steve Weagle (@Steve_Weagle). We’ve seen Steve do his thing for years (sorry if that makes you feel old Steve). Weather people make come and go, but the history and knowledge that Steve brings to the table cannot be replaced and that makes him a must follow in Palm Beach County if you have a Twitter account.
If you are looking for consignment shopping in Palm Beach County then be sure to follow Christi (@twochix1) RUNWAY Consignment Boutique. Not everything that glitters is gold and not everything that is new is better. However, Christi is your one stop shop for everything good. Another name that you may not know until this point is Whitney (@WPettis), the Web & Social Marketing Manager at The Forbes Company (The Gardens Mall etc.). Who doesn’t like to shop at the Gardens Mall? Well, the holidays are over and I know that some of the Santa pictures and comments from Whitney will not be forgotten. If you don’t follow her, you’ll miss out on all the great happenings at the Mall and she may even through you a curve ball or two. As we are chatting about curve balls, these guys at ESPN760 are a must listen in the afternoon on the ride home from work, Evan Cohen & J-Mart (@EvCoRadio @PleaForThree). But if you are stuck at the office and can’t stream them on the internet, the next best option is to follow them on Twitter. Evan, J-Mart, and the Marketing Director (Stephanie Prince) put on a great show and keep South Florida sports savvy.
If you are looking for things to do in Palm Beach County, then follow on Twitter the Palm Beach Zoo (@palmbeachzoo). Their holiday themes were awesome, Boo at the Zoo etc. and they always have tons of creature encounters waiting right here in Palm Beach County. The zoo is excellent for children and adults of all ages and if you follow them on Twitter, you may even get some cool trivia about the animals. Sorry guys, it’s always hard for me to figure them out but once I see the answer, it seems so obvious. More from the entertainment area, or fair grounds, I should say is the South Florida Fair (@SouthFLFair). The fair starts soon and by following them on Twitter you’ll get the up to the date deals and information about the fair. Did you know this past weekend they were offering free tickets to the fair if you donated canned goods at Al Packer Ford West? Well if you were a follower on Twitter your answer would be yes and you’d be going to the South Florida Fair for free. Thankfully its not too late to be a fair follower and enjoy the festivities this year, can’t wait!
We would be remissed if you didn’t mention two of our favorite entertainers and venues in Palm Beach County. Vanilla Ice Ice Baby (@vanillaice) and Palm Beach Improv (@PBImprov). Vanilla ice is well known for his music and now his big heart as he gives back to the community and Palm Beach County. Entertainment I’m sure still beats strong in his heart, but it good to see a guy that lives right here in our county doing so much for the community especially in these economic times. And when the economy has you down in West Palm Beach, stop by the Palm Beach Improv for a few drinks and laughs with some good old friends. There is nothing like an evening at City Place that ends with the late show at the Improv. So follow our friends and show them some love as you support the best Palm Beach County Twitter accounts.
