Three local businesses took over Evan Cohen's show to help raise money
ESPN West Palm recently partnered with Transworld Business Advisors to raise $7,350 for Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast by auctioning off Evan Cohen’s Show on ESPN 106.3 FM.
“Junior Achievement is grateful for the support of ESPN 106.3, Transworld Business Advisors and United Franchise Group for raising awareness and funds for the programs in our community,” said Claudia Barto, president of the Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast.
To coincide with (National) ESPN Radio’s 9th Annual Don’t Give Up ESPYS V Foundation, a live on-air auction, West Palm Beach’s ESPN 106.3 took bids for fans and local businesses to buy the Evan Cohen Show for a day with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Junior Achievement of Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. Businesses also had the opportunity to match the winning bid.
“It’s rewarding to be able to give back to the community all while doing something I love. And incorporating fans and businesses to participate and have the opportunity to experience what I do every day is an experience they will never forget.”
Transworld Business Advisors, Ed Morse Automotive Group and South Florida Foot and Ankle all donated matching bids to help raise $7,350 for the Junior Achievement of Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. They were on-air during the April 8, 2014 show.
Andy Cagnetta added, “Transworld is proud to support Junior Achievement nationwide. We believe in JA's mission to turn kids of today into entrepreneurs of tomorrow. JA has great hands on programs that teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness. Something our world is in desperate need of today”
