Lester Thomas Commits to FAU

Lester Thomas, 5-10, 165, DB, Fr, Tallahassee, Fla. (Godby)
High School: Played for Ronnie Cottrell at Godby High School, which captured the Class 5A state Championship and finished the season 14-1. Thomas earned first team all-conference, 5A all-state and was named to the Big Bend Tallahassee Democrat team. Thomas tallied 74 tackles, including 52 solo and a sack. He also had eight interceptions and a fumble recovery. He was named Godby's defensive MVP and to the 5A FHSAA Elite Team as well as second team All-American by MaxPreps.com. As a junior he recorded 86 tackles and seven interceptions.
Personal: Undecided in major. He is the son of Lester and Maria Thomas and was born in Tallahassee. His cousin Aries Monroe plays for the Carolina Panthers.
