After an outstanding career at Cardinal Newman, Matt Burke will be heading north to Big 10 country. On Wednesday, the 6-6, 215 lb. tight end signed his Letter of Intent with Purdue.
The Boilermakers made a late push for Burke in January, with the staff offering the senior following his appearance in the U.S. Army All-American Game. Burke verbally committed to Purdue on January 22nd after taking an official visit to the West Lafeyette, Indiana campus.
Burke chose the Boilermakers despite heavy interest from Wisconsin, Boise State, San Diego State and Harvard.
